Commercial Europe Region Marketing Director
Lotus Cars builds world-class, high-performance and lightweight sports cars that are sold all around the world. To bring the company to the level we want it to be, we are looking for a Marketing Director in the Commercial Europe Region Marketing Department to join us in our Commercial site based in Raunheim, Germany on a full-time basis.
Summary
The Marketing Director is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for defining and executing the integrated marketing and communications vision for Lotus across Europe and the UK. This strategic leader will architect brand campaigns, pioneer our digital and social presence, and orchestrate marketing PR initiatives that elevate our brand equity while directly fueling sales growth. This role demands a proven leader who can seamlessly bridge European and Chinese digital marketing practices to create a distinct competitive advantage.
What You'll Do
Strategic Marketing & Brand Leadership
- Develop and own the overarching marketing strategy, translating business objectives into an insightful, data-driven plan that captures market opportunities and defends against competitive challenges.
- Champion creative excellence by conceiving and directing high-impact, innovative product launch campaigns and brand experiences that are authentic to the Lotus legacy, generate significant buzz, and directly contribute to the sales pipeline.
- Provide visionary leadership to media and creative agencies, setting a clear and ambitious creative vision and ensuring all outputs are of the highest standard and aligned with our brand strategy.
- Spearhead our digital transformation by building our social media ecosystem from the ground up (e.g., Instagram, LinkedIn), embracing emerging platforms and trends to engage new audiences.
- Oversee the strategic development and user experience of the company’s official website and mobile app, ensuring they serve as premier digital touchpoints for brand immersion and lead generation.

Integrated Marketing PR
- Direct a comprehensive Marketing PR strategy encompassing crisis management, product PR, Marketing PR and sustained brand storytelling.
- Cultivate and leverage senior-level relationships with key media, influencers, and industry partners to protect and enhance the brand's reputation and authority.
- Ensure a consistent and powerful brand narrative across all internal and external communication channels.
Events, Product Launches and Market Intelligence
- Oversee product launches (vehicles, components, or industrial solutions)
- Collaborate with engineering, sales, and product teams to ensure success of product launch.
- Planning, organize and manage marketing events and promotion
- Analyze competitors, pricing, and customer insights
- Use data analytics to guide decision-making
- Monitor industry shifts (EV, PHEV adoption)
Developing Online, Offline Consumer Experiences/Journey
- Includes website management, leads management etc.
Retail Marketing & Sales Enablement
- Partner with country directors and sales teams to develop and execute hyper-localized retail marketing activities and dealer events that drive customer traffic and sales conversion.
- Equip the dealer network with powerful marketing tools, materials, and co-op advertising guidance to elevate the customer journey at the point of sale.
- Analyse market performance to continuously refine marketing support and maximize return on investment across all markets.
Essential Competencies
- Progressive experience in marketing and PR, with previous experience in a senior leadership role (Director / Head of / VP level) within an international setting.
- Mandatory experience working with OEM global luxury brands, deep understanding of the high-net-worth consumer mindset.
- Fluent in English is essential for effective communication with global stakeholders, bilingual and multi-language is desirable.
- Expertise in social media and digital marketing landscapes, with a proven ability to adapt and apply successful strategies to the European and UK markets.
- A distinguished leadership style, exceptional in cross-team collaboration and resource integration. You must be able to unify and inspire internal teams, agency partners, and regional stakeholders to break down silos, enhance efficiency, and elevate the quality of all marketing outputs.
- Strong commercial acumen with a demonstrable track record of converting brand strategies into measurable sales leads and revenue growth.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Marketing, Communications, Business or relevant field
