We're looking for a bright, curious and commercially-minded person to join our Trading & Commercial team.

This is a brilliant opportunity to get under the skin of how a media agency actually works commercially. You'll work across our entire client portfolio, learning how we structure client relationships, build fee models, manage contracts and make sure the agency is being paid correctly for the work we do.

You'll also get exposure well beyond what you might expect from an Executive-level role. You'll work with teams right across the agency and regularly interact with senior stakeholders, giving you a broad view of our clients, media channels and the commercial decisions behind the business.

It's a varied role, so you'll need to be comfortable switching between different tasks and priorities. One minute you might be working through the numbers behind a client fee proposal; the next, helping with a contract, pulling together information for a senior stakeholder or supporting the commercial side of a new business pitch.

What you'll be doing

You'll help us create and manage strong commercial relationships with our clients, including:

  • Managing and maintaining our client contract database
  • Communicating key contract details to relevant teams across the agency
  • Drafting short-form client contracts on an ad hoc basis
  • Creating billings and income reports to support client negotiations
  • Supporting client renewals and helping us respond to changes in scope or requirements
  • Reconciling resource allocation across our accounts each quarter
  • Working closely with our Revenue Controller to ensure fees and commissions are accurate
  • Working with the New Business team to create resource plans and fee proposals for pitches
  • Supporting fee modelling and the commercial elements of new client opportunities
  • Attending regular meetings with senior stakeholders across the agency

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What we're looking for

You don't need to arrive knowing everything about agency commercials. We're looking for someone with a strong foundation who wants to learn.

You'll ideally have some early experience within a media agency or a related environment and, most importantly, you'll be someone who is:

  • Comfortable working with numbers, data and Excel
  • Meticulous when it comes to detail – getting things right matters in this team
  • Organised and able to keep on top of several different things at once
  • Proactive and happy taking ownership of a task through to completion
  • Confident building relationships with different people and teams
  • Comfortable asking questions and challenging things when they don't look right
  • Collaborative, positive and keen to contribute to the wider team
  • Genuinely interested in understanding the commercial side of a business

Some knowledge of media planning and buying, agency finance or client contracts would be useful, but isn't essential.

Above all, we're looking for someone enthusiastic, switched-on and keen to learn. The role can be fast-moving and occasionally a little chaotic, so being able to keep your head, change context quickly and still get the detail right will take you a long way.

Today, the7stars is home to around 300 passionate media people, focused on creating great work for our clients. We're UK-focused, while also working through an agile global network of like-minded partners across Europe and the US.
