Purpose of this role

You will support commercial finance activities providing financial analysis, modelling, and market insight to support investment appraisals, business cases, and commercial decision-making.


Your Key Responsibilities Are

  • Commercial bidding & pricing

    • Maintenance of market bidding models, ensuring assumptions relating to revenue, operating costs, and capital expenditure remain accurate and robust.
    • Undertake an annual review of key assumptions underpinning the bid models.
    • Provide Support As Required To Bespoke Bidding Requirements.
  • Market analysis

    • Maintain competitor and market information to support strategic planning and commercial decision-making.
    • Support the Group Business Plan through data gathering, analysis, and reporting.
  • Investment appraisal

    • Gather, validate, and analyze financial and operational data to support investment appraisals and business cases.
    • Support the preparation of financial modelling (DCFs) and sensitivity analysis for investment opportunities.
    • Update and maintain investment books for existing BUUK product range.

    • Support activities related to M&A opportunities as required.
    • Prepare business cases for ad hoc projects.
    • Build relationships with stakeholders across the Group to support key decision-making.
    • Any other duties and project work as required by management.

Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) or nearing qualification.

Experience/Knowledge

  • Experience preparing financial analysis to support decision-making.

Abilities/Skills

  • Experience working effectively with stakeholders across different business functions.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Ability to present financial information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Understands the commercial drivers of business performance.
  • Proficient Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Desirable

  • Experience developing financial models and undertaking investment appraisal.
