Baker Charles is working with a high-growth, private equity-backed multi-site consumer business looking to hire a Commercial Finance Analyst to join its growing Commercial Finance team. This is a highly analytical role with exposure across the business, supporting areas including Marketing, Operations and Growth. You’ll work with senior stakeholders to understand performance, evaluate commercial initiatives and use financial and operational data to support better decision-making.

The role has a strong focus on data, financial modelling and commercial analysis. The business is open to candidates from finance, accounting or broader analytical backgrounds who can demonstrate strong numerical and modelling capability, commercial curiosity and the ability to turn complex data into clear recommendations. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Building financial models and scenario analysis to support commercial decisions
  • Analysing sales, margins, profitability and key performance drivers
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting and longer-term planning
  • Evaluating performance across sites, products, channels and commercial initiatives
  • Analysing marketing activity, promotions and investment, including ROI and incremental performance
  • Providing insight into site-level and operational performance and identifying opportunities to improve profitability
  • Supporting business cases, investment decisions and test-and-learn initiatives
  • Developing dashboards, reporting and analytical tools to improve visibility and decision-making
  • Working with large financial and operational datasets to identify trends, risks and opportunities
  • Presenting analysis and recommendations clearly to senior and non-finance stakeholders

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

We’re keen to speak with candidates from commercial finance, FP&A, commercial analysis, financial analysis, pricing, revenue management, strategy or other data-led analytical backgrounds. Strong Excel and financial modelling skills are important, while experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL or other analytical tools would be advantageous.

Experience within hospitality, retail, leisure, consumer or another multi-site environment would be useful but is not essential. More important is that you are highly analytical, commercially minded and genuinely interested in using data to understand what drives business performance.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an ambitious, fast-growing business where you will have genuine exposure to commercial decision-making and the opportunity to develop quickly.

If this opportunity could be of interest, I’d be very happy to share more detail and discuss the role further. Equally, if now isn’t the right time but someone within your network may be relevant, referrals are always greatly appreciated.
