Commercial Finance Analyst
Location: Liverpool
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially-minded finance professional to join a growing and successful business in Liverpool. The successful candidate will play a central role in supporting commercial decision-making, forecasting future performance and driving continuous improvement across finance processes and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and maintain weekly performance reporting and KPI trackers for operational departments.
- Take ownership of weekly reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Assist with cash flow forecasting and working capital analysis.
- Support quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting cycles.
- Analyse business performance, identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
- Partner with operational and commercial stakeholders to provide meaningful financial insight.
- Work closely with the Management Accounts team to ensure robust financial reporting.
- Develop reporting tools and models to support business decision-making.
- Challenge existing processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Assist with ad hoc commercial finance projects and business initiatives.

Candidate Profile
- Active ACCA, CIMA or ACA studies with finalist status preferred.
- Previous experience within commercial finance, financial analysis or a commercially focused management accounts role.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and explain financial information.
- Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting.
- A proactive approach with a genuine interest in process improvement and driving efficiencies.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with stakeholders across the business.
- The ambition to progress into a future finance leadership role.
