What You'll Do

You will play a vital role in providing financial support and analysis to the Commercial Trading teams within the Grocery Drinks category. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will partner with buyers and key stakeholders to offer clear financial insights, identify risks and opportunities, and contribute to informed decision-making processes. Your responsibilities will include supporting various finance-led activities such as forecasting, latest view reviews, budgeting, and trade commentary, as well as conducting analysis to explain performance, identify trends, and highlight potential areas for improvement.

Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, support and challenge investment decisions, business cases and post-investment reviews. You will communicate complex financial information in a clear and accessible manner to drive strong commercial performance and business growth.

Essential Criteria

  • Part-qualified or qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA)
  • Demonstrable commercial finance experience, ideally within retail / FMCG, with experience in forecasting, budgeting and supporting business cases
  • Demonstrable experience using Excel and financial analysis to interpret data and provide actionable business insights
  • Proven ability to present and communicate financial information clearly and accurately to a range of stakeholders, including senior leaders, both verbally and in writing
  • Evidence of contributing to commercial or financial decision-making, using financial analysis to support business performance
  • Experience developing effective working relationships across functions, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders
