Job Title: Commercial Manager

Location: Nottingham/Derby

Salary: £65,000 - £80,000+ basic, plus a significant performance-based bonus structure

What You Will Do

As a Commercial Finance Broker, you will be the primary point of contact for businesses seeking funding solutions. Your day-to-day activities will involve:

  • Business Development: Proactively generate new business opportunities by attending and hosting networking events, building your professional brand, and expanding your network of introducers.
  • Client Relationship Management: Meet with clients face-to-face to gain a deep understanding of their business operations, challenges, and funding requirements, providing a world-class, consultative service.
  • Pipeline Management: Take full ownership of your deal pipeline, managing it daily to drive transactions to completion and consistently achieve your monthly income targets.
  • Deal Structuring & Underwriting: Carefully underwrite cases before submission, ensuring the most appropriate funding solutions are identified and presented to the right lending partners.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain seamless communication with clients, introducers, and lenders, providing regular, clear updates on the progress of every transaction.
  • Team Collaboration: Work in close partnership with a dedicated Assistant Commercial Manager, forming a cohesive team to ensure client needs are met efficiently and service standards are exceeded.
  • Brand Ambassadorship: Enhance your professional profile and the company’s brand through strategic use of social media platforms like LinkedIn.

The ideal candidate will be a results-oriented professional with a background in a similar client-facing, business development role. We are particularly interested in speaking with:

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

  • Demonstrable experience in the commercial or business finance sector.
  • A strong ambition to succeed and a proactive, "hunter" approach to sourcing new business.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and partners.
  • A deep commitment to delivering world-class customer service.
  • The ability to work autonomously while also thriving as part of a collaborative team.
  • A sharp commercial acumen and the ability to underwrite and structure complex financial deals.
