Reporting to: Commercial Finance Controller

Are you a finance business partner who can turn data into decisions? At Beavertown, we're passionate about brewing world-class beer, but great beer needs great commercial decisions behind it.

We're on the hunt for a Commercial Finance Business Partner to join our Finance team and play a key role in supporting one of our most exciting channels. This isn't a role for someone who wants to sit on the sidelines. You'll be partnering closely with our Off-Trade commercial teams, providing insight, challenge, and analysis that helps drive performance and growth.

What you'll be doing

You'll be the financial sounding board for our Off-Trade team, helping them make smart commercial decisions through accurate reporting and meaningful analysis.

Reporting & Control

  • Own month-end reporting for Off-Trade volumes and revenue, delivering accurate results to tight deadlines
  • Manage accruals and prepayments for promotional investment activity
  • Own key Commercial balance sheet accounts, including monthly reconciliations and reviews
  • Ensure Off-trade marketing activity costs are recognised accurately and on time
  • Deliver insightful monthly reporting that helps stakeholders understand performance and opportunities
  • Lead the development of reporting capabilities, including automation and BI dashboard implementation
  • Continuously improve processes, controls and reporting outputs through smarter ways of working

Planning & Analysis

  • Support Annual Planning (AP) and Rolling Forecast (RoFo) processes, owning relevant sales volume and revenue inputs
  • Partner with commercial teams on financial planning for promotions, marketing activity and NPD launches
  • Lead monthly Performance Review meetings, providing challenge and insight to drive stronger results
  • Analyse customer and channel performance against KPIs, agreements and commercial objectives
  • Develop reporting and analysis from multiple data sources to support decision-making
  • Support strategic and ad-hoc projects across the commercial and finance functions

What you’ll bring…

The essentials:

  • ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified, or finalist
  • Strong business partnering experience with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong analytical capability with excellent attention to detail
  • A logical, proactive approach to problem solving
  • Experience delivering financial reporting, forecasting and performance analysis
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to roll up your sleeves when needed

  • Experience within FMCG, drinks or consumer goods
  • Experience using BI and visualisation tools such as Power BI
  • Exposure to commercial finance within a sales or customer-facing environment
  • Experience driving reporting automation and process improvement initiatives
