HW Interim Solutions are working with a large consumer-led client, to appoint a Commercial Finance Director, as it moves into its next phase of operational and commercial development. This is offered on an interim basis, initially 6 months.

Following a period of transformation the organisation is now focused on improving performance, strengthening decision-making and embedding clearer commercial insight.

Role Overview Reporting into senior finance leadership, this position plays a key role in supporting commercial performance and enabling effective decision making across a complex operating environment.

The role is hands-on and highly collaborative, working closely with operational and commercial stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a senior finance partner to commercial and operational leadership teams.
  • Provide insight and challenge across revenue, margin and cost drivers.
  • Support planning, forecasting and scenario analysis to inform decision-making.
  • Develop clear performance reporting and financial insight.
  • Identify risks and opportunities, translating analysis into practical actions.
  • Lead and develop a small senior finance team.
  • Contribute to broader business improvement initiatives as the organisation stabilises and evolves.

About You

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA).
  • Senior commercial finance or FP&A leadership experience within large, complex organisations.
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced environments with incomplete information.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence at senior level.
  • Pragmatic, commercially minded and delivery focused.
  • Able to work on site in the North of England, with some flexibility.
