Commercial Finance Director | 6+ Month Contract | Competitive Day Rate | Hybrid (Reading) with European Travel

Lead Commercial Finance. Shape Strategy. Drive Business Performance!

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Finance Director to join a leading international organisation on an initial 6-month contract, offering a highly competitive day rate with the potential for extension.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially focused finance leader to make an immediate impact, partnering with Executive leadership to drive strategic decision-making, improve profitability and lead the transformation of a Finance Business Partnering function across multiple European markets.

If you enjoy influencing business performance, leading high-performing teams and using data to shape commercial strategy, this is a role where you'll quickly become a trusted adviser to the senior leadership team.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the European CFO, you'll lead a pan-European Finance Business Partnering team, supporting commercial and operational leaders with financial insight that drives better business decisions. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping long-term strategy, improving margin performance, supporting acquisitions and embedding a forward-thinking, insight-led finance function.

This is a hands-on contract assignment where you'll be expected to hit the ground running and deliver value from day one.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
