Interim Commercial Finance Director
£750 - £850 per day
Near Woking | 3 days per week in the office | ASAP Start | 4 - 6 Months.
We are working with one of the most exciting companies near Woking to find an Interim Commercial Finance Director.

It's a fast-paced, consumer-focused business with lots going on, and we need someone who can sit right at the heart of the business and help drive performance.
This is a broad Finance Director role, but with a big commercial focus.
We ideally want someone who started their career with a strong technical grounding, understands financial control inside out, but has since moved into Commercial Finance, FP&A and Business Partnering.
This is running the finance team and owning it, but at the same time driving the commercial delivery and transformation. So commercial impact and stakeholder management is key.
What will you be doing?
- Partnering senior leadership and helping shape commercial and operational decisions
- Leading the budgeting, forecasting and longer-term planning process
- Driving performance across revenue, margin, costs, cash and working capital
- Bringing much stronger insight around profitability, performance, risks and opportunities
- Supporting pricing, investment decisions, business cases and transformation projects
- Improving reporting and making sure Finance tells the story behind the numbers
- Challenging the business and turning financial insight into action
- Working closely with the Financial Controller to maintain strong controls, reporting and governance
- Improving finance processes, systems and ways of working
- Leading, developing and motivating a broad Finance team
- Creating a genuinely commercial, proactive and people-focused Finance function

Who are we looking for?
Ideally ACA qualified with strong academics and an excellent technical grounding.
You might have started your career in audit before moving through Financial Control / Group Finance and then progressed into Commercial Finance, FP&A or a broader Finance Director role. You'll still understand the detail. Controls, reporting, cash, audit and governance won't scare you.

But today, your real strength is commercial finance and leadership.
We need someone who is:
- Commercial and naturally curious
- Fast-paced and comfortable with change
- Brilliant with people
- Confident challenging senior stakeholders
- Strong enough technically to understand what's happening under the bonnet
- Able to simplify complex information and tell a compelling story
- A proper leader who can bring people with them
- Already operating as a Head of Finance, Commercial Finance Director etc already.
Experience in a high-growth, PE-backed or listed environment would be particularly interesting. This needs someone with energy.
Someone who can move between the numbers, the people and the commercial decisions without missing a beat.
