Are you a commercially focused finance professional who wants to influence business decisions and drive operational performance?

Our client, a multi-national Distribution Group based in Portsmouth, Hampshire, has a newly created opportunity for a Commercial Finance Manager. The role will combine strategic planning, commercial partnering and stakeholder engagement, offering significant exposure to senior leadership across the organisation.

What will the Commercial Finance Manager role involve?

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-range financial planning.
  • Partner with senior leaders to shape strategy and support key business decisions.
  • Provide insight and challenge through financial analysis, market trends and performance reporting.
  • Evaluate new initiatives and investment opportunities.
  • Drive improvements in forecast accuracy, resource allocation and business performance.
  • Present financial performance and future outlook to key stakeholders.

Suitable Candidate for the Commercial Finance Manager vacancy:

  • Applicants for the position will hold a full accountancy qualification and will ideally have exposure to working in a similar commercially focused role within a large complex organisation in addition to possessing a strong technical skill set.
  • Individuals looking to make their first move out of Public Practice will also be considered.
  • Exceptional communication and analytical skills will be essential to undertake to the role successfully as will the ability to build effective working relationships with senior non-finance stakeholders throughout the business.
