Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Finance Manager to join Pure Electric on an initial six-month contract. This is a hands-on role requiring someone who is equally comfortable working in the detail and partnering with senior leadership to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in a fast-paced consumer environment, with strong capability across cash forecasting, financial control, and commercial finance.
The Role
Reporting directly to the CFO, the Commercial Finance Manager will play a key role in supporting the financial performance and strategic direction of the business. This is a broad, hands-on position that combines cash and treasury management, commercial finance, financial planning, and operational business partnering. The successful candidate will provide high-quality financial insight, challenge, and support to senior stakeholders, helping to drive informed decision-making across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and maintain short and medium-term cash flow forecasts, providing clear visibility of future liquidity and working capital requirements.
- Monitor cash performance against forecast, identifying risks, opportunities, and variances, and communicating actions to relevant stakeholders.
- Manage weekly cash reporting, including oversight of cash balances, inflows, outflows, and covenant compliance.
- Administer the Group's receivables financing facility, including weekly reporting and the timely preparation of monthly borrowing certificates.
- Act as a trusted finance business partner to the Operations and Commercial teams, providing insight, challenge, and financial support to drive performance.
- Develop and enhance operational reporting and KPIs across inventory, logistics, and aftersales functions.
- Develop and own commercial performance reporting, including sales volumes, margins, trade inventory, and retail sell-through metrics.
- Analyse business performance and translate financial data into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Prepare insightful commentary for weekly trading reports, board reporting, and month-end performance packs.
- Coordinate the annual budgeting process and monthly forecasting cycles, ensuring timely delivery and alignment across the business.
- Support the CFO in maintaining and developing the Company's long-term strategic and financial planning models.
- Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, controls, reporting, and decision-support capabilities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
