Role: Commercial Finance Manager

Salary: £52,000 - £62,000

Location: Solihull (Hybrid)

About the Business

An exciting opportunity to join a global professional services business, recognised as a leader in its field, as a Commercial Finance Manager based in Solihull with a salary of £50,000 – £60,000. This role sits within the Finance team and offers genuine commercial exposure, giving you the chance to influence decision-making and business performance at a senior level. Reporting into the Commercial Finance Director, you will manage a portfolio of key clients and disciplines, providing insight that directly supports profitability.

Main Duties

As a Commercial Finance Manager, your main duties include:

  • Owning a portfolio of client accounts, producing and reviewing weekly and monthly management information covering revenue, recoverability, margin, and utilisation, while tracking performance against target and flagging variances
  • Business partnering with departmental leads and client management, using clear, data-driven insight to influence commercial decisions and constructively challenge stakeholders where required
  • Supporting client and departmental leads in building realistic, robust revenue forecasts, giving early visibility of potential variances to both client teams and senior finance
  • Applying and overseeing relevant accounting and group policies, particularly around WIP and revenue recognition, and ensuring billing processes remain accurate and timely
  • Getting involved in client pitch work, supporting the commercial and contractual elements alongside senior finance and legal colleagues, and helping assess the viability of new business opportunities
  • Working with senior finance management and data teams to continuously improve management reporting so that it reflects the evolving structure and needs of the business
  • Managing and developing a small team, coaching and supporting them to build capability and drive strong performance

Location / Office / Culture

The role is hybrid, with 3 days in the office and 2 days at home, based from a modern office in Solihull. You will be joining a well-established, global business that is genuinely leading in its profession, with a strong finance function and a collaborative, high-performing culture.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified is preferred, though QBE candidates will be considered for the right experience
  • A strong background in a commercial finance role, such as business partnering or FP&A
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
  • Strong Excel skills and the ability to interpret large volumes of data into actionable insight
  • A methodical, organised approach with strong attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure
