Reporting directly into the Head of Finance, this will be a broad but heavily commercial role. You'll work closely with the founders and senior commercial team across retail, D2C, pricing, margin, NPD and customer profitability.
As an early member of the finance team, you'll also have significant scope to shape how commercial finance operates as the business scales.

- Business partnering closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations and the founders
- Owning commercial budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis
- Providing insight across retail, wholesale and D2C channels
- Customer and SKU-level profitability analysis
- Gross margin analysis across pricing, product mix, ingredients/input costs and customer terms
- Supporting negotiations and commercial decisions across major retail customers
- Pricing, promotional and trade investment analysis
- Financial modelling and commercial assessment of new product launches
- Supporting the NPD process from initial business case through to post-launch analysis
- Improving visibility around marketing spend and ROI
- Building reporting and commercial models that give leadership better visibility over performance
- Supporting the Head of Finance with wider strategic projects, planning and decision-making

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
