Marc Daniels Specialist Recruitment are partnering with a leading, fast-paced organisation to recruit a commercially focused Commercial Finance Manager.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant looking to take ownership of a key finance business partnering role supporting senior commercial stakeholders and driving strategic decision-making across the business.

The successful candidate will act as a true financial co-pilot to the commercial leadership team, providing insightful analysis, challenging performance, and influencing business outcomes through strong financial stewardship and commercial acumen.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with Commercial Leaders to support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, month-end close activities and ongoing performance analysis.
  • Deliver actionable insights around client profitability, resource utilisation, gross profit performance, business risks, and growth opportunities.
  • Support and challenge commercial teams on pricing strategies, discount structures, and investment opportunities.
  • Manage the commercial planning process, ensuring accurate forecasting of revenues, costs, discounts, and trade spend.
  • Identify and communicate financial risks and opportunities, providing recommendations to maximise business performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement across planning, forecasting, reporting, and performance measurement processes.
  • Leverage finance systems and business intelligence tools to enhance reporting and decision-making.
  • Ensure strong governance, compliance, and financial controls, including supporting internal and external audits.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with senior stakeholders across finance and the wider business.

About You

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Minimum 5 years' post-qualified experience.
  • Proven commercial finance experience with strong business partnering capability.
  • Previous experience managing budgeting, forecasting, reporting, pricing analysis, ROI assessments, and P&L performance.
  • Advanced Excel skills including financial modelling, Pivot Tables, Lookups, and complex data analysis.
  • Experience using Power BI to deliver meaningful business insights.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence at senior level.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to transform complex financial data into clear commercial recommendations.
  • Comfortable operating within a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Able to prioritise effectively, manage multiple deadlines, and maintain exceptional attention to detail.

Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience within media or advertising, or similar dynamic industries.
  • Exposure to SAP, S/4HANA, BPC, SAC, Salesforce, Tableau, or comparable systems.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP.
