The client The organisation provides essential support services that help people live more independent and fulfilling lives. With a strong social purpose and ambitious plans for sustainable growth, they are looking for a commercially minded finance professional to strengthen their commercial capability and provide financial insight that supports the organisation's long-term goals.
The role Reporting to the CFO and working closely with the Executive Director of Business Development, the newly created Commercial Finance Manager is a key role responsible for financial modelling, pricing, costing and commercial analysis. Supporting tenders, fee reviews, contract renewals and new business opportunities, the role provides the insight needed to underpin sound commercial decisions. Working closely with Business Development and Operational teams, there is also scope to improve the commercial frameworks that support decision-making across the organisation.

About you You will be a qualified accountant with a strong background in commercial finance, pricing, costing or financial modelling. You’ll be confident working with complex data, able to translate financial information into clear insight, and experienced in supporting tenders or contract negotiations. The role will suit someone who is commercially minded, confident in challenging the status quo and able to build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders.
As the Commercial Finance Manager, your role will include but not be limited to:
- Developing financial models, pricing approaches and business cases for tenders and new opportunities
- Leading the financial preparation of annual fee uplift submissions and supporting commissioner discussions
- Producing scenario modelling, sensitivity analysis and commercial evaluations to inform decision-making
- Partnering with non-financial stakeholders to assess opportunities and support growth plans
- Ensuring commercial proposals align with financial strategy, governance requirements and long-term plans
- Contributing to the development of costing methodologies, commercial frameworks and financial tools
