Commercial Finance Manager
A multi-site business is recruiting a Commercial Finance Manager to partner with senior operational leaders and drive financial performance across a significant regional portfolio. This is a highly visible role that combines business partnering, financial planning, commercial appraisal, and operational finance support.
Reporting to the Head of Finance
You will play a key role in providing insight, challenge, and strategic financial guidance to the regional leadership team, helping to influence decision-making and drive sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly review of regional financial performance, ensuring accuracy of results and identifying any discrepancies or adjustments required.
- Present financial performance, trends, and insights to senior regional stakeholders through leadership meetings and performance reviews.
- Evaluate and challenge investment opportunities through detailed financial modelling, scenario planning, and sensitivity analysis.
- Prepare and present business cases and financial appraisals to senior leadership teams for approval.
- Manage and develop a Finance Business Partner, supporting performance, development, and succession planning.
- Collaborate with wider finance teams to share best practices and ensure consistency of financial support across multiple regions.
- Lead regional budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with FP&A and operational management teams.
- Act as the primary finance contact for regional stakeholders, providing commercial support and bridging the gap between operational teams and central finance functions.
- Deliver quarterly financial performance reviews, identifying risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Provide financial coaching and guidance to operational managers, helping improve financial understanding and accountability.
- Support wider business transformation, process improvement, and strategic finance projects.

About You

- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Minimum three years' post-qualification experience in a commercial finance environment.
- Strong business partnering experience with the confidence to challenge and influence senior stakeholders.
- Advanced analytical and financial modelling skills.
- Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning experience.
- Ability to interpret large data sets and translate findings into clear, actionable business insights.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong presentation capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-finance audiences.
What's on Offer?
- £74,000 to £79,000 basic plus annual bonus up 15%
- Hybrid working (1-2 days office based)
