Woking, Surrey – Hybrid Working (50/50 split)
Manufacturing & Logistics
We're supporting a growing manufacturing and logistics business that is looking to appoint a Commercial Finance Manager.
This is a senior, commercially focused role working closely with leadership to improve financial performance, strengthen decision-making and provide greater visibility across a complex and growing operation.
You'll combine business partnering, forecasting, performance analysis and strategic insight, getting underneath the numbers to understand what is really driving performance and turning that into clear actions for the wider business.
The Role
This is much broader than producing reports and explaining variances. You'll work across Finance and the wider business to improve how financial information is used to make decisions. You'll take a lead role across commercial planning and performance management, challenge assumptions, identify risks and opportunities and help senior stakeholders understand where the business is performing well and where improvements can be made.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
