Commercial Finance Manager

Corby | £55,000 – £65,000

Veracious Talent Partners are proud to be exclusively partnering with a nationally recognised manufacturing organisation in the search for a Commercial Finance Manager to join their team in Corby.

The business is going through a period of positive change and development, making this a great opportunity for someone who wants to do more than simply report the numbers. There will be plenty of scope to challenge existing processes, improve the quality of financial insight and create genuine value for senior stakeholders across the organisation.

Working closely with Operations, Sales and senior leadership, you’ll provide the commercial insight and challenge needed to support better decision-making, while taking ownership of key areas across commercial finance and FP&A.

Key responsibilities

  • Leading budgeting, forecasting and financial planning cycles
  • Producing and presenting P&L reporting, variance analysis and commercial commentary
  • Partnering with senior stakeholders across Operations, Sales and the wider business
  • Providing insight and recommendations around performance, margins and profitability
  • Supporting product costing, pricing decisions, tenders and wider commercial opportunities
  • Building financial models and scenario analysis to support decision-making
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes, reporting and financial controls
  • Managing and developing a Commercial Finance Analyst

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What we’re looking for

You’ll need to be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with experience working in a fast-paced environment.

Experience within manufacturing or FMCG would be highly desirable, particularly if you’ve had exposure to costing, margins, stock or operational finance. However, this isn’t essential if you can demonstrate experience operating in a similarly fast-paced and commercially focused environment.

You’ll also need to be a confident business partner who is comfortable challenging stakeholders, questioning assumptions and turning complex financial information into clear commercial insight.

The position will initially require 4 days per week onsite in Corby, reducing to 3 days per week once established. There will also be occasional travel to sites across the UK.

Alongside the scope of the role itself, you’ll be joining a Finance Senior Leadership Team with a proven track record of developing and progressing people within the business. There is a genuine focus on employee development, making this an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to continue building their career rather than simply make a sideways move.

With the business going through plenty of positive change, there is also genuine scope to influence how things are done, drive improvements and play a visible role in the continued development of the organisation.

If you’re a qualified accountant looking for a commercially focused role where you can genuinely influence, improve and add value, I’d be keen to hear from you.
