About us
Hush is an ambitious and distinctive fashion brand, with plans to double the business over the next few years. Founded 21 years ago, we are now established as one of the UK’s leading online fashion retailers. We employ around 150 employees across head office and retail, creating and selling a beautiful range of women’s clothing and accessories characterised by effortlessness, simplicity, and a laidback sense of style. Despite the challenges to the retail industry, Hush has continued to grow – and our company culture still reflects our entrepreneurial roots and relaxed aesthetic. We love hard-working and talented people with a can-do attitude and a passion for what they do.
Location: Clapham, London
Hybrid: 3/4 days in the office
Reporting to: Head of Finance
About the role
We’re an ambitious business with big plans to grow, and our finance team plays an important role in helping us make smart, commercially-minded decisions as we scale.
We’re now looking for a Commercial Finance Manager to join the team and bring financial insight, challenge, and clarity to the decisions that shape the business.
This is a genuinely commercial finance role, working closely with teams across Merchandising, Marketing, Ecommerce, Retail, and Operations. You’ll be a trusted finance partner to your stakeholders – helping them understand performance, challenge assumptions, spot opportunities, and make better decisions.
You’ll take ownership of forecasting and budgeting for your areas, lead our weekly trading reporting, and work closely with the Head of Finance, Buying, and Merchandising teams to understand sales, margin, and stock performance. It’s a role with plenty of variety. One day you might be digging into a trading trend or challenging a forecast; the next, supporting a strategic project or finding a better way to use data and technology across the finance function.
As Hush continues to grow, you’ll also have the opportunity to help shape how commercial finance works across the business.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
