About the Role

You will be involved in managing corporate and financing models, appraisal models and preparing investment papers to support new opportunities. You will be involved in leading the annual budget and reforecast process and tracking project progress against budgets and investment cases. To succeed, you'll bring strong commercial awareness and analytical capability.

This company operates in the energy and natural resources sector and is located in the Thames Valley.

Description

  • Work with the business development team on new solar opportunities, undertaking project appraisal modelling as required; provide insight on project returns, and, where appropriate, make suggestions on how returns can be improved.
  • Work closely with origination and commercial colleagues providing finance input into investment committee papers;
  • Maintain and administer updates to the corporate & financing models; Undertake sensitivity analysis as the portfolio grows.
  • Maintain and administer the investment appraisal model in line with external market conditions
  • Lead the company annual budget and reforecasting process.
  • Support external relationships
  • Assist in financial due diligence on M&A opportunities.
  • Provide insight to the Finance team to assist with the monthly variance analysis commentary

Profile

  • Strong Excel and financial modelling skills - ideally experience of managing complex financing models
  • Understanding of renewable energy support mechanisms or exposure to the infrastructure sector (large scale engineering project investment)
  • Evaluating financial and business indicators to translate data into actionable information
  • Building constructive and effective relationships with a broad and diverse group of stakeholders
  • Proven track record of reporting deliverables to senior stakeholders
  • High attention to detail & strong organisational skills and time management

Job Offer

  • Competitive salary ranging from £75,000 to £99,000, dependent on the level of experience.
  • 25 days of annual leave.
