Are you a commercially minded finance leader who can turn complex data into strategic insight, influence senior stakeholders and drive performance across a high-profile real estate portfolio?

At The Crown Estate, we create lasting and shared prosperity for the nation. We're looking for a Commercial Finance Manager to play a pivotal role in supporting our Regional portfolio, providing financial leadership, robust governance and commercial challenge that helps shape investment decisions and long-term value creation.

Why This Role Matters

As Commercial Finance Manager (Regional), you will be the trusted finance partner to the Regional portfolio team, taking ownership of financial performance, forecasting, reporting and joint venture governance. You'll provide the insight and challenge needed to support strategic decision-making while ensuring the highest standards of financial control and compliance.

Working at the heart of the business, you'll collaborate with colleagues across Portfolio Management, Development, Strategy and Investment, as well as external Joint Venture partners, helping to maximise performance and deliver sustainable value.

What You'll Be Responsible For

Leading Financial Performance & Strategic Planning

  • Own financial reporting for the Regional portfolio, delivering clear, accurate and insightful analysis.
  • Lead forecasting, budgeting and long-term planning processes in partnership with business stakeholders.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and valuation movements, identifying key drivers, risks and opportunities.
  • Present financial performance and recommendations to senior leadership and governance forums.

Driving Joint Venture Governance & Reporting Excellence

  • Act as the finance lead for Regional Joint Ventures.
  • Ensure all financial reporting is accurate, compliant and aligned to governance requirements and contractual agreements.
  • Build strong relationships with Joint Venture partners and act as the primary finance contact.
  • Maintain robust controls and governance across all JV activities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
