YOUR MISSION:

Channel FP&A and Reporting

  • Own the wholesale P&L, including monthly reporting, forecasting and budgeting.
  • Lead wholesale budget and forecast processes, ensuring alignment with group and local plans.
  • Maintain risk and opportunity tracking for wholesale performance.
  • Support scenario modelling and mid-term planning for wholesale.
  • Ensure robust planning assumptions embedded into models and bottom-up detail is built by customer by RBU.
  • Deliver monthly reporting and commentary on wholesale performance.
  • Develop wholesale specific dashboards and KPIs to support decision making.

Commercial Business Partnering

  • Act as the lead finance partner to Wholesale Sales, Marketing and Merchandising teams.
  • Financial lead on sales bonus target setting and tracking.
  • Provide financial support for customer trade terms and strategic plans.
  • Collaborate on buy plans and inventory commitments to align with financial forecasts.
  • Lead monthly performance reviews, highlighting risks, opportunities, and actions.

Profitability & Investment Insight

  • Build and evaluate robust business cases for all proposed investments.
  • Track actuals vs. planned investment outcomes and assess ROI.
  • Analyse customer and product profitability, identifying cost to serve and margin improvement opportunities.

Controls, Processes and Team Contribution

  • Ensure wholesale reporting and planning outputs are accurate, timely and supported by appropriate controls and reconciliations.
  • Work collaboratively across the wider finance team, supporting shared deadlines and escalating capacity or delivery risks early.
  • Coach and develop the Finance Analyst where applicable, setting clear priorities and reviewing the quality of outputs.
  • Support finance transformation, systems development and reporting improvements as required.

YOUR TALENT:

  • ACCA / CIMA qualified (or equivalent), with 5+ years post qualified experience in commercial finance and business partnering.
  • Proven track record of supporting sales and merchandising teams in a wholesale / B2B environment.
  • Strong understanding of customer profitability, trade terms, and channel dynamics.
  • Highly analytical with the ability to translate data into actionable insight and strategic recommendations.
  • Skilled in building and evaluating business cases, with a focus on ROI and commercial impact.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence to challenge and influence decisions.
  • Proficient in Excel and ERP/BI tools.
  • Passionate about sports and lifestyle brands, with a commercial mindset and collaborative approach.
