Commercial Finance Officer
Knights Brown is an independent civil engineering contractor delivering complex work across energy, water utilities, infrastructure, coasts & ports, and buildings. We are looking for a Commercial Finance Officer to take ownership of Commercial Finance tasks as well as providing support to both the Commercial Finance Manager and Commercial Finance Administrator.
What you’ll be doing:
- Daily reporting and posting of cash book receipts into Evision.
- Uploading payments to banking system.
- Raising invoices to customers and undertaking credit control.
- Providing 1st line finance support to Commercial Departments.
- Preparation and issue of contract reports in line with reporting timetable.
- Review and process subcontract valuations and invoices on Evision, provide 1st line support as appropriate.
- Provide guidance to Finance Administrator on CIS.
- Process subcontractor payment journals.
- Preparing and posting journals.
- Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Preparation of documentation for the annual audit.
- Provide cover and support to Commercial Finance Manager.

What we’re looking for:
- A highly organised individual with strong multitasking skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication abilities across both internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborative team player with the initiative and confidence to work independently.
- The capability to meet hard deadlines including ledger close and payment run cut offs.
Desirable:
- Subcontract CIS and Domestic Reverse Charge VAT experience.
- A construction finance background with experience in a similar role.

Location & travel:
- Based within Head Office, Ringwood.
- Office based – no travel.
