Role Description

The Commercial Gas Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Swansea. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing commercial gas systems, including boilers, heating equipment, and associated mechanical services in line with industry standards and company procedures. The engineer will liaise with customers on-site, ensuring clear communication, professional service, and adherence to health and safety regulations. The role may include participation in out-of-hours work or call-out rote to support AMROC’s 24/7 repair services.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience with LPG systems, including safe installation, maintenance, and fault finding.
  • Strong background in central heating systems, including commercial boiler installation, commissioning, and servicing.
  • Competence in plumbing tasks relevant to commercial heating and mechanical installations.
  • Proven ability in building maintenance and maintenance & repair of commercial gas and heating equipment.
  • Valid commercial gas qualifications and registrations (e.g., Gas Safe Registered, CSCS card), with up-to-date industry certificates.
  • Solid understanding of health, safety, and compliance requirements in commercial gas engineering.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manufacturers’ specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to customer sites across South Wales.
  • Previous experience in a similar commercial gas engineer role; experience with building management systems is an advantage.
