About the Role
As our Gas, Plumbing and Heating Engineer, you'll carry out planned and reactive maintenance, response and repair to gas heating and plumbing systems across care homes, NHS buildings, universities, local councils, sheltered housing, commercial premises and other properties throughout the region.
You'll take part in a call out rota of 1 week in 4, with standby and enhanced overtime rates paid accordingly.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Carrying out diagnostic fault finding on boilers, water heaters, warm air systems and other equipment.
- Completing maintenance and PPM certification paperwork on the PDA system.
- Efficiently maintaining and repairing gas plant equipment, plumbing, heating systems and components.
- Identifying areas for additional works within and out of the specified contractual requirements, supplying accurate quotations where required.
- Understanding and completing all work-related documentation accurately and on time, exceeding the customer's expectations.
- Complying with company policies and procedures.
- Carrying out work in a safe and diligent manner.
- Complying with all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Attending and fully participating in training and appraisal activities as required.

What You'll Bring
We're looking for a motivated professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality work and excellent customer service.
You'll ideally have:
- Commercial gas qualifications and experience.
- Gas Safe registration.
- CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1 and HTR1 qualifications.
- A good understanding of Health & Safety procedures.
- A full UK Driving Licence.
- Ability to communicate at all levels, both orally and in writing.
- Generally IT literate.
- A customer focused approach.
- At least 1 year's commercial gas experience (preferred).
Desirable:
- Experience working within care homes or the public sector.
- Plumbing, air conditioning or commercial plant fault-finding experience.
- A good general knowledge of electrics.

Benefits Include:
- Salary of up to £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications.
- Overtime rate paid after 40 hours, prior to out-of-hours call outs.
- £125 per week standby payment, plus 1.5x rate door-to-door for call outs.
- Double time paid after midnight and on Sundays.
- Bank holidays worked are rewarded with overtime plus a day in lieu.
