Commercial Gas Engineer - Glasgow & Ayr - Salary up to £47,000 DOE
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join an established and growing engineering team, working across a varied portfolio of commercial and domestic properties throughout West Scotland.
This is a varied role suited to an engineer with a strong commercial gas, plumbing and heating background, particularly someone with experience working within Facilities Management environments.
You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, fault finding and installing a range of commercial heating and gas systems across a diverse customer base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, repairs and installation of commercial gas and heating systems.
- Work across a varied portfolio including hotel chains, care homes, farms and commercial properties.
- Complete planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown works.
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs safely and efficiently.
- Complete relevant service reports, documentation and compliance records.
- Liaise professionally with customers, clients and site teams.
- Ensure all works are completed in line with relevant gas, health & safety and company procedures.
- Participate in a 1-in-6 on-call rota, receiving an additional £130 standby payment.
- Work across Glasgow, Ayrshire, the West of Scotland and surrounding areas.
- Develop knowledge and experience in renewable technologies, including biomass and heat pump systems, with training provided.

Person Specification:
- Relevant Commercial Gas qualifications/tickets.
- A strong background in commercial gas, plumbing and heating.
- Experience working across commercial or Facilities Management (FM) environments.
- Experience with servicing, maintenance, fault finding and repairs.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- The ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
- A full UK driving licence.
- A professional approach to health & safety and compliance.
- Experience with biomass and heat pump systems would be advantageous, but is not essential as full training will be provided.
