- Starting Salary: £30,000.00 per annum (Subject to review)
- Location: Severn Bridge Maintenance Unit, Aust, Bristol, South Glos BS35 4BD
- Working hours per week: Monday to Friday, 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, 37.5 hours per week. Occasional weekend and night site work will be classed as overtime.
- Start date: April 2027

About The Team
Severn Bridges is working in partnership with National Highways on the Specialist Bridges Inspection & Maintenance contract of three bridges in Southwest England over a 15-year period.
Covering the maintenance of three major structures; the 1.4km M5 Avonmouth Bridge, the M4 Prince of Wales Bridge which comprises three structures, the 2.1km Avon Viaduct, 948m Cable Stay and 2.077km Gwent Viaduct as well as the 1.6km M48 Severn Bridge, a suspension bridge that has second highest tidal range in the world at 14.5m. We are responsible for the cyclic maintenance and daily structure inspection checks.
What You Will Do
- Implement commercial processes for cost capture, valuation, procurement and reporting.
- Submit applications for payment in a timely manner and agree accounts with clients and contracts.
- Ensure maximum recovery of all contractual entitlements.
- Assist in preparing commercial reports, including monthly Cost Value Reconciliation reports, cash flows, budgets and forecasts.
- Liaise with Operations teams to ensure costs and value are correctly coded.
- Manage subcontractor accounts in line with agreed subcontract agreements and Amey processes for certification, payment and liability.
- Manage all aspects of subcontract procurement.
- Provide commercial support as required or directed.

- Minimum 2:2 degree in quantity surveying, commercial management or a related discipline.
- Full UK driving licence.
- BPSS check requirement.
