Commercial Growth Director
Cyber Chain Alliance was founded from a desire to do consultancy differently.
Not louder. Not bigger. Just better.
We’ve built a cyber consultancy we’re proud of, with great people, strong client relationships and a reputation for doing good work. We’re now at a point where we want to be much more deliberate about how we grow.
And that’s where this role comes in.
We’re looking for a Commercial Growth Director to help build the commercial engine that supports CCA’s next stage of growth.
The role in real terms
This isn’t a traditional Sales Director role, and it isn’t a role where you’ll arrive to find a large sales team and an established commercial machine waiting for you.
You’ll help build it.
Working closely with our Founder and leadership team, you’ll take ownership of how we turn our strategy and expertise into sustainable revenue growth.
That means looking at what we sell, how we package and price it, where recurring revenue opportunities exist, how we grow our existing client relationships and which partnerships and channels could create new routes to market.
But this isn't purely strategic.
We need someone who wants to build and sell. You’ll be hands-on in the market: developing relationships, opening opportunities, building pipeline, shaping proposals, negotiating commercial terms and helping take opportunities all the way through to close.
You’ll develop partnerships that create genuine commercial value rather than simply adding logos to a partner page. You’ll look at referral, reseller, alliance and technology relationships and work out where there is a credible opportunity to create revenue for both sides.
You’ll also help us turn more of our consulting expertise into clear, repeatable propositions, with defined buyers, outcomes, pricing and routes to market.
Ultimately, this role is about creating a commercial approach that works, and then making it work.
What makes this different
This is a new function for CCA, which means there is genuine scope to shape it.
You won’t be several layers removed from the decisions about where we invest, what we take to market or how we grow. You’ll be working directly with the people making those decisions and will have the autonomy to challenge thinking, test ideas and build on what works.
We don't need someone to arrive with a 100 page commercial strategy.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
We do need someone who can understand where we are today, identify the strongest opportunities, put enough structure around them to create focus and then get into the market and execute.
Initially, that means establishing a clear picture across our revenue, pipeline, propositions, priority accounts, partnerships and pricing. From there, you'll help build the strongest routes to growth, launch and sell them, measure what works and create a commercial rhythm we can scale.
There’s a strategic layer to the role, but success will ultimately be measured by what that strategy creates: stronger pipeline, better conversion, valuable partnerships, growing accounts, recurring revenue and sustainable commercial growth.
Built for real life
We’re remote-first and genuinely flexible.
We care about outcomes, not presenteeism. Autonomy isn’t a perk here; it’s part of how we work. We’ve designed our approach to benefits and flexibility around the fact that life doesn’t look the same for everyone. That includes meaningful leave, family support, healthcare and wellbeing provision, income protection, pension contribution, investment in professional development and space to step back when needed.
More importantly, we’ve worked hard to create a culture where people can actually use those things.
People stay because they feel supported. Because there’s balance. Because it feels sustainable.
Who we’re looking for
You’ll be a commercially entrepreneurial person who enjoys turning strategy into action.
You’ll have a strong track record of driving growth within a consultancy, professional services or technology environment, and ideally you'll have experienced what it takes to build commercial capability within a smaller, founder-led or scaling business.
You’ll understand the economics of a services business and have experience creating or growing recurring revenue.
You'll know how to take expertise and turn it into something commercially compelling – identifying the buyer, shaping the proposition, thinking through scope and pricing and working out how to take it to market.
You’ll also be comfortable doing the selling yourself.
That means building pipeline, leading senior client conversations, developing opportunities and proposals and negotiating commercial terms.

Your very own career expert that helps elevate your application to the next level.
Partnerships will be another important part of your experience. We’re interested in people who have built referral, reseller, alliance or channel relationships and, importantly, have been able to turn those relationships into opportunities and revenue.
You don't need a huge team around you to make things happen. You'll be comfortable building, testing and executing yourself while putting in place the structure that allows us to scale over time. Cyber security experience would be beneficial, but it isn't the only route into this role. What matters more is that you understand how to build growth in a services business and can bring that experience into CCA.
Most of all, you'll fit how we work.
You’ll be curious, accountable and relationship-focused. You’ll be comfortable challenging thinking constructively, taking ownership and working collaboratively with people across the business.
About CCA
CCA is a specialist cyber consultancy built on the idea that security doesn’t need to be intimidating to be effective.
We help organisations strengthen governance, manage risk and build maturity in a way that fits their context.
We’re proud of the diversity of thought within our team. Different professional backgrounds, different routes into cyber and different ways of approaching problems. That mix is intentional because it challenges assumptions and improves outcomes for our clients.
As co-founders of community initiatives such as Cyber House Party, we're also committed to improving representation and creating opportunities within the industry.
We’re not trying to be the biggest organisation in the room. We’re focused on building a sustainable, high-performing consultancy that does good work and gives good people room to make an impact.
A note on location
Although CCA is a remote-first business, this is a UK-based role.
You must be based in the UK and have the permanent right to work in the UK. The role will involve travel for client meetings, partner meetings and occasional in-person CCA events, so you’ll need to be comfortable travelling within the UK when required.
If you’re someone who enjoys building as much as selling, wants genuine influence over how a business grows and likes the idea of creating something rather than simply inheriting it, we’d love to hear from you.
