Turn insight into action

Our Insight function turns complex data into clear, practical recommendations that drive better commercial decisions and business performance. Working closely with Strategy, Sales, Trading, CVM and Digital teams, you’ll bring together advanced analytics, customer insight, market intelligence and data storytelling to answer key business questions and uncover new opportunities.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead and develop a team of 4 Insight Specialists – Coach, mentor and support your team, helping them deliver complex projects, manage priorities and workloads, and follow best-practice technical and commercial approaches.
  • Turn data into action – Investigate key business questions, test hypotheses and deliver clear, actionable recommendations that shape the strategic direction of Sales & Commercial.
  • Understand our customers and market – Use segmentation, customer value analysis and market intelligence to uncover opportunities and improve our understanding of customers, competitors and market trends.
  • Measure what matters – Assess the impact of strategic initiatives, products and transformation programmes, using insight to recommend actions that improve business outcomes.
  • Make insight part of everyday decisions – Embed data and insight into business processes, planning and commercial decision-making.
  • Work across the business – Partner with teams across Commercial, Sales, CVM, Finance and Strategy to solve complex business challenges and deliver meaningful results.
  • Raise the bar on insight – Champion high-quality analysis, clear storytelling and recommendations that stand up to peer review and drive confident decision-making.

The skills you’ll need

Three Essential Skills

  • Commercial & Strategic Thinking – Understand business strategy and market dynamics, with the ability to turn complex challenges into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Data & Technical Expertise – Strong data literacy with advanced Excel, SQL and visualisation skills. Experience with Qlik, Power BI, Tableau, GCP, BigQuery or AI/ML is a plus.
  • Insight & Influence – Excellent storytelling and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate complex insights simply.

Experience you’ll bring

  • Commercial management or insight/analytics experience.
  • Using data and advanced analytics to support business decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.
  • Proven ability to present insights to senior/CXO audiences.
  • Experience working with diverse stakeholders in a fast-paced, matrix environment.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality work to tight deadlines.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
