Commercial Insights & Deals Analyst
We’re looking for a Commercial Insights & Deals Analyst to join a team passionate about music contracts, deal forecasting and artist metadata.
Working closely with the Business Strategy, Finance and Legal teams, you’ll support the analysis and forecasting of commercial deals, manage the incoming deals pipeline and ensure the quality and integrity of commercial data across internal systems.
You’ll play an important role in supporting deal forecasting, improving existing processes and developing new workflows to help the business operate more efficiently. You’ll also work closely with the Legal team throughout the end-to-end contracts process.
What You’ll Do
- Work closely with Business Strategy, Finance and Legal teams to support commercial activities.
- Model and evaluate commercial deals, providing analysis and forecasting aligned with commercial strategy and business KPIs.
- Manage the pipeline of incoming deals from music teams.
- Maintain accurate and high-quality commercial metadata through contract and database administration.
- Lead the contractual data input and validation process in collaboration with Legal and Operations, ensuring data accuracy across internal systems.
- Track timelines, deliverables and execution across internal and external teams to drive efficiency across operational processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, translating complex concepts for both technical and creative audiences and ensuring clear, actionable outcomes.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, workflows and systems, contributing new ideas and features where appropriate.

What You’ll Bring
- Exceptional attention to detail and a strong focus on data accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple workloads.
- A proven ability to deliver high-quality work within deadlines.
- A strong understanding of music contracts and terminology.
- Strong Excel and analytical skills, including the ability to build and work with financial models.
- 2–4 years’ experience in deal analysis, financial modelling or a similar analytical role, ideally within the music or media industry.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience within a record label, music publisher, DSP or similar music industry environment.
- Familiarity with tools such as Airtable, Tableau or Looker.
- Experience working with datasets relating to royalties, licensing or catalogue performance.
- A solid understanding of recording royalties and neighbouring rights income.
- Experience working cross-functionally and bridging the gap between technical and creative stakeholders.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with confidence working with both internal and external stakeholders.
- A university degree in a quantitative subject such as Finance, Economics, Business or a related field.
