Are you an experienced Commercial Account Executive looking for the freedom to build a profitable book without being tied down by layers of corporate red tape?

CKB Recruitment is delighted to be working with a fast-growing and highly ambitious independent insurance broking group that is looking to add a Commercial Account Executive to its expanding team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a genuinely entrepreneurial business with impressive long-term growth plans, led by an ambitious and highly regarded owner who is committed to creating an environment where talented insurance professionals can thrive.

The Opportunity

The business currently controls approximately £7 million GWP and has a close-knit team of 15 people. It has ambitious plans to grow considerably over the coming years, making this an excellent time to join and play a meaningful role in its next chapter.

You will focus on developing the commercial insurance side of the business, generating new opportunities, building strong client relationships, and creating a profitable portfolio.

The company is looking for someone who can begin writing new business from the outset.

Bringing an existing book or portfolio of clients would be highly attractive, although it is not essential. What is essential is that you can demonstrate a clear and credible business plan showing how you will generate opportunities and develop your book.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
