Bradley David Associates is looking for an experienced Commercial Insurance Account Executive to join a well-established and growing independent insurance brokerage. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys developing client relationships, winning new business, and providing expert insurance advice across a varied commercial portfolio.
Based in the Southend, Essex area.
About the Role
You'll manage an existing portfolio while actively identifying new business opportunities, working closely with clients and insurers to deliver tailored insurance solutions and exceptional service.
Responsibilities
- Managing and developing a portfolio of commercial insurance clients.
- Generating new business through networking, referrals, and prospecting.
- Identifying client needs and recommending appropriate insurance solutions.
- Negotiating with insurers to secure competitive terms and suitable cover.
- Preparing and presenting quotations and recommendations.
- Managing renewals, retention, and cross-selling opportunities.
- Building long-term relationships with clients, insurers, and key stakeholders.
- Delivering outstanding customer service throughout the client journey.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring all documentation is completed to a high standard.
- Working in line with FCA regulations and internal compliance procedures.

Qualifications
At least 3 years' experience in a commercial insurance broking or account executive role.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, including areas such as Commercial Combined, Property Owners, Liability, Professional Indemnity, Cyber, and related classes.
- Experience using Acturis.
- Proven ability to develop new business and manage existing client relationships.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive, organized, and customer-focused approach.
- Good understanding of FCA regulatory requirements and compliance.

Pay range and compensation package
- Salary: Up to £50,000 (depending on experience) + Performance Bonus
