Healthcare Benefits
Are you an experienced Commercial Account Executive with an established book of business and the ambition to join a growing, independent brokerage where you will have the freedom to develop your portfolio?
CKB Recruitment is delighted to be working with a highly regarded commercial insurance broker based in Chester.
The business has built its reputation by providing straightforward advice, personal service, and carefully tailored insurance solutions to commercial clients. As part of its continued growth, it is now looking to recruit an accomplished Commercial Account Executive who can bring strong market relationships, commercial expertise, and a clear plan for developing a profitable portfolio.
The Opportunity
You will take responsibility for managing, retaining, and growing a portfolio of commercial insurance clients while identifying and converting new business opportunities.
The company is particularly interested in speaking with Account Executives who have an existing book of business that could transfer once any current restrictive covenant, non-solicitation period, or contractual obligation has fully expired.
The business is committed to ensuring that any future transfer of clients is handled properly, professionally, and in full accordance with existing contractual obligations.
You will be given the autonomy to manage your own client relationships while benefiting from the support of an experienced broking team, established insurer relationships, and the Acturis broking platform.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
