Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Commercial Insurance Broker role based in Musselburgh. The Commercial Insurance Broker will advise business clients on suitable insurance products, assess risk profiles, and arrange appropriate cover across a range of commercial lines.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

- Managing client accounts
- Responding to inquiries
- Preparing quotations
- Negotiating terms with insurers
- Ensuring timely policy renewals and adjustments
- Collaborating with underwriting partners
- Maintaining accurate documentation
- Providing high-quality customer service throughout the policy lifecycle
- Contributing to business development by identifying opportunities to deepen existing relationships and attract new commercial clients
Qualifications
- Strong Insurance Brokerage and Insurance knowledge, with experience placing commercial policies for business clients.
- Demonstrated Customer Service skills, including the ability to build trust, handle queries efficiently, and manage client expectations.
- Experience or familiarity with Underwriting principles, including risk assessment and evaluation of coverage terms.
- Account Management skills, with the ability to oversee policy renewals, adjustments, and ongoing client communication.
- Relevant industry certifications or professional qualifications (e.g., CII or equivalent) are highly beneficial.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Proficiency in using insurance and CRM systems, along with solid general IT skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment and manage workloads to meet deadlines.
