Commercial Insurance Executive

Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 DOE
Location: Woodford, office based

The Opportunity

We’re working with an established and growing specialist insurance brokerage that is looking to add an experienced Commercial Insurance Executive to its team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in commercial insurance who enjoys working closely with clients, building relationships and finding solutions for a variety of risks.

The successful candidate will take ownership of an existing portfolio while also having the opportunity to identify new business opportunities and contribute to the continued growth of the brokerage.

This role would suit someone who is commercially minded, confident dealing with clients and insurers, and enjoys a role where no two days are necessarily the same.

What will you be doing?

  • Managing a portfolio of commercial insurance clients.
  • Handling renewals, quotations, mid-term adjustments and day-to-day client enquiries.
  • Sourcing and negotiating appropriate insurance cover across a range of commercial risks.
  • Working with insurers and underwriters to obtain competitive terms and find solutions for more complex or difficult-to-place risks.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, insurers and other professional contacts.
  • Identifying opportunities to develop existing accounts and generate new business.
  • Providing a high level of service throughout the client lifecycle.
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring documentation and compliance requirements are met.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to share knowledge, solve problems and support the wider business.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
