About the Role

Gigaclear is building a market-leading Commercial Insight & Intelligence capability that will enable every commercial decision to be supported by data, insight and predictive analytics.

The Commercial Insight & Intelligence Analyst will play a key role in transforming data into actionable commercial insight, supporting teams across Marketing, Sales, Customer Services and Commercial Strategy & Propositions.

Working as part of a growing analytical team, the role will develop reporting, dashboards, commercial analysis and predictive insight that improve customer acquisition, retention, pricing, proposition development and customer lifetime value.

The role offers an excellent opportunity for an analytically minded individual to develop experience across commercial analytics, customer insight, forecasting and AI-enabled decision making within one of the UK’s fastest growing full fibre providers.

The role reports to the Head of Commercial Insight & Intelligence and we’re looking for someone who is naturally curious, analytical and passionate about using data to solve commercial problems and can build collaborative relationships across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Insight & Reporting

  • Develop clear, accurate and insightful reporting that enables teams across the Commercial organisation to understand business performance and make informed decisions.
  • Produce regular dashboards, performance reports and ad-hoc analysis covering sales, marketing, customer behaviour, pricing, propositions and customer service.

Commercial Analysis

  • Support commercial decision making through detailed analysis of customer, product and market performance.

Customer & Market Insight

  • Support the development of customer segmentation and market insight by analysing customer behaviour, demographic information, competitor activity and market trends.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to improve marketing targeting, proposition development and customer engagement through richer commercial insight.

Advanced Analytics and Predictive Modelling

  • Support the development of predictive models that improve commercial decision making.
  • Assist in building and maintaining analytical models covering customer acquisition, churn, upgrades, Customer Lifetime Value, marketing performance and forecasting.

Commercial Experimentation

  • Support Gigaclear’s “Test & Learn” approach by analysing the results of pricing trials, marketing campaigns, proposition launches and customer interventions.
  • Measure the effectiveness of commercial initiatives, identify successful outcomes and provide recommendations that support evidence-based decision making.

Data Quality & Continuous Improvement

  • Support the ongoing development of Gigaclear’s Commercial Intelligence Platform by helping to improve data quality, reporting standards and analytical processes.
  • Identify opportunities to automate reporting, improve data accuracy and simplify the production of commercial insight.

Success Measures

Success in this role will be measured through the quality, accuracy and impact of the insight produced.

The Commercial Insight & Intelligence Analyst will be expected to deliver trusted reporting, improve the speed and quality of commercial analysis and contribute to better business decision making across the Commercial organisation.

Key measures will include stakeholder satisfaction, reporting accuracy, delivery against agreed timescales, improvements in reporting automation, successful support of commercial projects and the contribution analytical insight makes to customer acquisition, retention and commercial performance.

The role will also be expected to contribute to the development of Gigaclear’s Commercial Intelligence Platform and support the wider team’s ambition to create increasingly predictive, automated and AI-enabled commercial insight.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

We’re looking for someone who is naturally curious, analytical and passionate about using data to solve commercial problems.

The successful candidate is likely to have experience in a commercial insight, business intelligence, data analytics or performance reporting role, ideally within telecommunications, utilities, retail, financial services or another data-rich customer-focused industry.

They will have strong analytical skills, experience of manipulating and interpreting data, and the ability to communicate complex findings in a clear and engaging way.

Experience using tools such as Power BI, SQL and Excel is essential, while experience with Snowflake, Python, R or modern AI-enabled analytics tools would be advantageous but not essential.

Most importantly, the successful candidate will enjoy asking questions, challenging assumptions and using insight to improve commercial performance.
