Falmouth Fairfax Investment Surveyor

Falmouth Fairfax is delighted to be instructed by Dorrington to source an Investment Surveyor (full life cycle position) to join their Commercial team. The team is responsible for a portfolio of office buildings in popular London locations such as Midtown and Marylebone, comprising a blend of leased office investments and managed flexible workspace.

The Role

Reporting directly to an Investment Director, this individual will gain exposure to the full lifecycle of Central London office investment: from reviewing investment opportunities to adding value through active asset management. Responsibilities will include:

Investment

  • Sourcing and evaluating new investment and development opportunities with the team.
  • Assisting with the collation of information to facilitate the acquisition and sale process.
  • Helping to co-ordinate the valuation process.

Analytical

  • Conducting market research to produce market intelligence and assumptions for business plans and cash flow analysis.
  • Assisting with the production of board reports for the existing portfolio and potential acquisitions.
  • Running Excel models to evaluate opportunities.

Asset Management

  • Assisting with the formation of asset management strategies for existing assets and prospective purchases.
  • Assisting with the execution of asset management initiatives, including capex programmes and new lettings.
  • Supporting the flex team across the flex estate, including lettings and operational processes.

The Candidate

Dorrington are looking for an ambitious, personable, smart and self-motivated candidate who wants a market‑facing role with broad responsibilities across investment and asset management. The ideal candidate will have:

  • MRICS qualification (preferred but not essential).
  • Previous experience working as an investment surveyor or in office agency.
  • Previous experience in flex and managed lettings (preferred but not essential).
  • Strong numeracy skills and the ability to manipulate data confidently in Excel.

Remuneration

The salary will be dependent on prior experience and in addition there is a generous benefits package and an annual performance related bonus.
