Join a leading international airline holding company as a Commercial Lawyer
Supporting a high-performing legal team on a maternity cover contract!
Job Overview
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded lawyer to advise on complex and high-volume commercial agreements, negotiate with key stakeholders, and help shape innovative legal processes through the use of AI-enabled tools and contract playbooks. You'll work across a broad range of business-critical matters, providing pragmatic legal advice while helping the organisation manage risk and deliver strategic objectives.
Contract Details
- Contract Length: 6 Months (Maternity Cover)
- Rate: £600 per day (inside IR35)
- Location: Waterside, West London (2-3 days per week onsite preferred)

Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts and agreements.
- Provide practical legal advice to business stakeholders on contractual and commercial risks.
- Support the business in managing complex strategic agreements and high-volume contractual matters.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate legal and commercial risks across commercial transactions.
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external third parties to achieve successful commercial outcomes.
- Develop and maintain contract templates, negotiation playbooks, and best-practice guidance.
- Utilise AI-powered legal technologies, including tools such as Copilot and Harvey AI, to enhance legal operations and contract management processes.

Key Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor with approximately 3-4 years' Post Qualification Experience (PQE).
- Strong background in general commercial law, including contract drafting, review, and negotiation.
- Excellent ability to provide commercially focused and pragmatic legal advice.
- Proven experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Interest in legal innovation, AI-driven workflows, and continuous process improvement.
This is an urgent requirement and would suit a proactive Commercial Lawyer looking to join a well-established in-house legal team and make an immediate impact.
