The In-House Legal team at Sanderson Solutions Group is seeking a Commercial Lawyer to provide pragmatic, business-focused legal support across a broad range of client, supplier, and strategic business activities. Role Overview
Reporting to the Group Head of Legal, you will operate with a high degree of autonomy and take primary responsibility for delivering end-to-end legal service to the Managed Solutions division, as well as support other divisions as required. You will play a key role in enabling commercial growth, supporting strategic initiatives, and protecting the interests of both the division and the wider Group.
Sanderson Managed Solutions team works with clients across a variety of industry sectors to provide tailored and large-scale strategic recruitment solutions that deliver service excellence, risk mitigation, and cost savings through a combination of great people, robust process, and innovative technology. As the primary legal contact for the Managed Solutions division, you will have direct exposure to senior leadership, and the opportunity to develop legal strategy while acting as a trusted partner supporting the division's growth and success.

Role Responsibilities
- Act as the primary legal advisor for the Managed Solutions division.
- Develop a detailed understanding of the division’s business model, objectives, and services.
- Provide practical, risk-based legal advice to support decision makers, strategic initiatives, and bids.
- Lead client negotiations and legal reviews around MSPs, RPO, and Statement of Work, and deliver guidance to stakeholders on legal, contractual, and compliance matters.
- Review and draft contracts and support the contract lifecycle, including assisting with disputes, claims, and contractual issues that arise.
- Operate as a flexible and agile member of the Legal team, supporting other divisions and teams as business needs require.
Requirements
- Qualified solicitor in England and Wales (or equivalent common law jurisdiction) with at least 2+ years’ post-qualification experience.
- Experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts.
- Strong knowledge of contract law, risk management, and contractual issues that can occur in managed services, outsourcing, or business solutions provision.
- Ability to provide clear, pragmatic, and commercially focused legal advice.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the business.
- A proactive, resilient, and hands-on attitude to support a broad range of work and take ownership when required.
- Some knowledge of data protection and privacy, employment law, or commercial litigation would be useful.
