French-Qualified Commercial Lawyer (hybrid | 12+ Month Contract)

We are seeking a French-Qualified Commercial Lawyer to join a high-performing team supporting a leading global technology organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for a mid to senior-level lawyer to work on innovative digital, media, and AI-related initiatives within a fast-paced international environment.

The Role

You will play a key role in managing a high volume of commercial relationships and legal matters, particularly in relation to publisher partnerships and the rollout of AI-focused initiatives across the French market. Acting as a trusted legal advisor, you will provide practical and commercially focused guidance while supporting complex operational programmes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the delivery of large-scale publisher partnership initiatives and AI pilot programmes.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a range of commercial agreements, including copyright and content-related contracts.
  • Providing legal analysis and strategic advice on commercial and regulatory matters.
  • Ensuring compliance with legal and competition law guardrails.
  • Managing multiple stakeholders across legal, business, and operational teams.
  • Identifying and mitigating legal risks while enabling business objectives.
  • Supporting a high volume of commercial matters in a dynamic and rapidly evolving environment.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Fluent French language skills with professional working proficiency.
  • Ideally, qualification under French law, although strong French commercial law experience will also be considered.
  • Significant experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
  • Experience advising on copyright, media, content, technology, or digital platform matters.
  • Strong commercial judgement and the ability to provide pragmatic, business-focused advice.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
