We are a small, friendly team of lawyers that advise the SRTA (Strategy Risk & Transactions Advisory) business. Connect to your opportunity
Deloitte’s SRTA legal team is looking for a commercial lawyer at Manager level to support Deloitte’s SRTA business. We negotiate a variety of client contracts, develop product terms as well as negotiate supplier contracts and manage legal and risk issues.
This role will provide many opportunities to use contract drafting and legal research skills. Client contracts might range from bespoke framework agreements with the largest banks and government organisations to corporate clients seeking Deloitte’s assistance with a transaction or corporate reorganisation, requiring negotiation of Deloitte’s standard engagement terms. This opportunity will require the individual to be regularly involved in complex negotiations typically with external client legal teams and/or external lawyers instructed by our clients.
An essential element of the role will be the individual’s ability to undertake a variety of contract negotiations simultaneously while consistently delivering high-quality, business-focused solutions in a challenging and demanding marketplace. The post-holder will also need to partner with the business to understand how business risks can be managed and mitigated.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
