Commercial Lead – Finland | Hyperscale Data Centre

Location: UK & Finland

Project: Hyperscale Data Centre

Duration: 16–18 months

Rotation: Rotational / Secondment Basis

Travel & Accommodation: Covered

We’re looking for an experienced Commercial Lead to join a major hyperscale data centre project in Finland. The role offers UK-wide flexibility, with the successful candidate travelling to Finland on a rotational/secondment basis and having access to our client’s Central London headquarters when required.

This is a senior-level opportunity for someone who can take ownership of the commercial function on a large-scale, technically complex project and hit the ground running from day one.

You’ll work closely with the project and senior leadership teams, taking responsibility for commercial strategy, cost control, contract management, procurement and the overall commercial performance of the project.

The Role

  • Lead the commercial function across a large-scale hyperscale data centre project
  • Manage commercial strategy, cost control, forecasting and reporting
  • Oversee subcontract procurement, valuations, variations, payments and final accounts
  • Manage contractual and commercial risk throughout the project lifecycle
  • Work closely with Project Management, Planning, Engineering and senior leadership teams
  • Provide clear commercial reporting and advice to the wider business
  • Support the successful delivery of the project from mobilisation through to completion

About You

We’re looking for someone with a strong commercial background within major construction or MEP projects, ideally with experience working on data centres, critical infrastructure or other large-scale technically complex projects.

You’ll need to be commercially strong, confident dealing with senior stakeholders and comfortable taking ownership of a project of significant scale. Data centre experience is advantageous, but experience on other major Tier 1 / complex construction projects will also be considered.

Most importantly, you’ll need to be comfortable with the UK / Finland rotational setup.
