About the Role
We are currently working in partnership with a well-established and highly respected housing provider, who are looking to appoint a Commercial Lead on a permanent basis. This will be a full-time position, with a salary of £60,000 per annum.

Key Responsibilities
- Building and leading a high-performing commercial team focused on delivering measurable business outcomes
- Ensuring appropriate commercial controls, procedures and governance are implemented and adhered to
- Managing supplier relationships, performance, KPIs, service levels and dispute resolution
- Supporting procurement activities to deliver compliant and commercially sound tendering processes
- Monitoring job costs against revenue and ensuring robust commercial reporting
- Managing variation processes to maximise contractual entitlement
- Reviewing monthly management accounts and monitoring financial performance against budget
- Monitoring buying rates, supply chain liabilities and subcontractor payments
- Supporting senior managers with commercial duties and attending key stakeholder meetings
- Assisting with recruitment, training and mentoring of team members

Requirements
Experience Required:
- Previous experience in a Commercial Manager, Commercial Lead or similar senior commercial position
- Experience reviewing management accounts and monitoring financial performance
- Experience managing supplier and subcontractor relationships
- Experience supporting procurement and tendering activities
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Required:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification/training
- Excellent Excel and data interrogation skills
- Strong contractual awareness and negotiating skills
- Ability to interpret financial information and identify commercial risks
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to influence and build relationships at all levels
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on developing high-performing teams

- Microsoft Access experience
- Remeasurement experience
- Experience contributing to bids and contractual negotiations
