enki is changing how growing businesses access finance talent.
We've built a curated network of exceptional Fractional CFOs, and Finance Operators, enabling ambitious businesses to access senior finance expertise quickly and flexibly. Our mission is simple: make it easier for founders to find the right finance talent at the right stage of growth.
We're now looking for a Commercial Lead to own and execute our go-to-market strategy — driving new business, building our partnerships and affiliates network, and generating consistent demand for the platform.
About the role
This is a commercial, revenue-owning role at the centre of enki's growth. You'll be responsible for the full GTM engine: sourcing and closing new Roles for our CFOs and Finance Operators, building a partnerships and affiliates network that feeds a steady pipeline, and running events and sponsorships that put enki in front of the right founders and investors at the right time.
You'll work directly with the founders, with real autonomy to build the commercial playbook from the ground up — targets, pipeline, partner agreements, and the processes that make growth repeatable.
We're looking for someone with proven B2B commercial sales experience, ideally gained inside a startup or high-growth business, who is genuinely embedded in the startup and investment ecosystem — someone who already has founder and investor relationships, or knows how to build them fast.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

This role owns commercial GTM. Marketing and content sit with a dedicated Fractional Marketeer, so you'll partner closely with them rather than carry that workload yourself.
What you'll do
- Own and execute enki's commercial GTM strategy, with clear targets for new Roles secured
- Build, manage and close a pipeline of businesses needing fractional finance talent
- Develop and grow enki's partnerships and affiliates network (VCs, accelerators, advisors, platforms) as a repeatable source of leads
- Plan and run events, sponsorships and founder-facing activations that generate qualified pipeline
- Build relationships across the startup and investment ecosystem — VCs, accelerators, founder communities — that convert into commercial opportunities
- Activate enki's CFO community for referrals, introductions and warm leads
- Build and maintain a proper CRM, pipeline reporting and sales process
- Work closely with the founders to test new channels and scale what works
About you
- 3–6+ years in a B2B commercial, sales, business development or partnerships role, ideally within a startup or high-growth business
- A track record of sourcing and closing new business
- Already embedded in the startup/investment ecosystem — comfortable talking to founders, VCs and operators, with a network to draw on from day one
- Experience building and running partnership or affiliate programmes that convert to revenue
- Commercially minded and target-driven, with the discipline to run a proper pipeline and forecast
- Comfortable building playbooks from scratch, without a detailed roadmap to follow
- Confident presenting and hosting in person — you'll be the face of enki at events
