Passionate about puzzles! With experience of making top-quality puzzles since 1972, Puzzler Media are the go-to name in puzzles for consumers and clients.
Role Purpose
The Commercial Lead is responsible for driving the growth and success of Puzzler Business, our B2B engagement solution, by identifying, winning and developing client relationships that generate sustainable revenue.
The Commercial Lead will be accountable for delivering against ambitious sales revenue targets, expanding our presence into untapped sectors such as personal finance, retail and edtech, and ensuring Puzzler Business continues to grow as a trusted partner for organisations seeking stronger customer, subscriber or audience engagement on web, app and print.
Outcomes the role should drive
- Meet or exceed quarterly and annual targets for B2B sales revenue.
- Grow Puzzler Business by acquiring clients in new sectors such as retail, personal finance and edtech.
- Retain and upsell existing clients in close collaboration with the Customer Success Manager.

Requirements
Experience
- Substantial experience in B2B sales, ideally selling SaaS, digital products, content solutions or other subscription-based services.
- Strong evidence of winning new clients rather than simply managing existing accounts.
- Previous experience of negotiating at a senior level and navigating multiple decision makers.
- Experience of breaking into industries where the company had little or no previous presence.
- A track record of consistently achieving or exceeding annual revenue targets.
Skills
- Able to manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, discovery, proposal creation, pricing, negotiation, contracting and renewal.
- Understanding of clients’ engagement challenges and how to position Puzzler’s digital solutions against business objectives.
- Able to communicate clearly with colleagues and clients from technical, product, editorial and finance disciplines and to establish credibility with unfamiliar buyers.
- Able to take ownership of the sales function and work independently without the support of a wider sales team.
- Excellent written and verbal presentation skills.
- Strong CRM discipline (HubSpot experience preferred).
