GE Vernova is looking for an exceptional Commercial Leader – Onshore Wind – Northern Europe to join our Onshore Wind team based in London, UK.

Job Description

Let’s Talk about the Role

The Commercial Leader – Onshore Wind – Northern Europe will orchestrate cross-functional expertise to deliver optimized, profitable, and sustainable energy solutions.

You will act as the architect of high-stakes, multi-million-dollar deals, translating technical innovation into competitive, winning strategies that position GE Vernova as the partner of choice for wind turbine supply and maintenance services. By leading the full proposal development process from initial inquiry to contract award, you will ensure our commercial strategies remain robust, profitable, and aligned with our long-term goals in the renewable energy sector.

How You Will Make a Difference

  • Driving the end-to-end proposal development process, ensuring successful outcomes from initial inquiry through to contract award.
  • Building winning commercial strategies by performing deep-dive value optimization and complex project cost calculations to maintain competitiveness.
  • Leading high-stakes negotiations for Turbine Supply and Full-Service Agreements, ensuring alignment with commercial policies and business goals.
  • Collaborating across technical, sales, legal, and finance teams to mobilize multi-functional resources and ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Improving commercial performance by applying Lean methodologies to standardize work, increase efficiency, and hit key performance indicators.
  • Developing strong executive relationships, acting as the commercial face of our offers to provide actionable insights for stakeholders.

Skills for Success

You Should Be a Strategic Commercial Leader With

  • The ability to navigate complex, high-value commercial agreements and lead successful contract negotiations.
  • The capability to translate complex technical requirements into competitive, high-value customer solutions.
  • An understanding of renewable energy industry dynamics, specifically regarding wind turbine technology and project execution cycles.
  • An expertise in leading virtual, multi-functional teams with a focus on transparency, accountability, and collaboration.
  • A keen interest in driving the global energy transition through sustainable, high-impact renewable energy projects.

A formal education and subsequent University Bachelor or Master’s degree in Business, Law, or a relevant technical field are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.
