I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
The Opportunity
This isn't a corporate asset management role.
It's a chance to join a small, agile business where you'll have genuine influence over leasing strategy, tenant relationships and value creation across offices, retail and mixed-use assets.
You'll take the lead on:
- Lease renewals, rent reviews, re-gears & new lettings
- Tenant and occupier relationships
- Asset management initiatives and business plans
- Identifying opportunities to increase income and enhance value
- Managing external agents and professional advisers
- Reviewing service charge performance and operational costs
- Supporting acquisitions and repositioning projects

About You
You'll probably have 5+ experience within asset management, either client-side or in consultancy, with strong exposure to leasing, landlord & tenant matters and refurbishments.
MRICS is advantageous but not essential.
More importantly, you'll be commercially minded, proactive and enjoy taking ownership rather than waiting for direction.
If you're looking for a role where you can make a visible impact rather than being another cog in a large corporate machine, we'd love to hear from you.
