We're looking for a Commercial Legal Consultant to join the journey.

You'll be trusted. You'll have ownership. You'll work directly with commercial stakeholders. And you'll have the opportunity to help shape how Legal operates as the company scales.
🌳 The Opportunity
Working directly with the Head of Legal & Compliance, you'll become a trusted legal partner to teams across:
- 🌳 Sales
- 🌳 Partnerships
- 🌳 Finance
- 🌳 Operations
- 🌳 Technology
- 🌳 Information Security
- 🌳 Senior Leadership
Your role isn't simply to explain the legal position. It's to understand the commercial objective, understand the risk and help the business find the right way forward.
⚖️ Commercial Contracts
You'll take real ownership across a broad range of commercial agreements.
- 🌳 Drafting, reviewing and negotiating customer and SaaS agreements
- 🌳 Supplier, partnership and reseller agreements
- 🌳 Contractor agreements and NDAs
- 🌳 Taking contracts from initial review through negotiation to execution
- 🌳 Identifying and communicating contractual risk
- 🌳 Supporting renewals, amendments and terminations
- 🌳 Improving templates, standard terms and contracting processes

🤖 Help Build a Modern Legal Function
This is one of the biggest attractions of the opportunity.
The company doesn't want Legal operating the way it did 15 years ago. They want a modern, commercially minded Legal function that embraces technology.
You'll work alongside the Head of Legal & Compliance to:
- 🌳 Improve Legal processes and workflows
- 🌳 Build playbooks and guidance
- 🌳 Improve contract management and reporting
- 🌳 Identify opportunities for automation
- 🌳 Explore how AI can improve Legal productivity
- 🌳 Use technology to make Legal faster and more effective
- 🌳 Support strategic Legal & Compliance projects

🌳 Who Are We Looking For?
We're looking for someone with around 2–3+ years' commercial legal experience, ideally within an in-house SaaS, technology or fast-growth environment.
You might currently be a:
- Commercial Legal Consultant
- Commercial Legal Counsel
- Legal Counsel
- Commercial Contracts Specialist
- In-House Legal Advisor
- Legal Executive
Ideally you'll bring:
- 🌳 Hands-on experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
- 🌳 Strong commercial judgement
- 🌳 Knowledge of UK GDPR & Data Protection
- 🌳 Experience dealing directly with stakeholders and counterparties
- 🌳 Confidence managing your own workload and legal matters
- 🌳 Excellent written communication
- 🌳 Strong stakeholder management
- 🌳 A practical approach to balancing commercial opportunity with legal risk
Experience within SaaS or Technology would be particularly valuable. Exposure to information security, ISO 27001, cyber security or regulated environments would also be useful.

A formal Legal qualification isn't essential. We're much more interested in what you can actually do.
If you've personally drafted contracts, negotiated commercial agreements, advised stakeholders and taken ownership of legal matters, we'd like to hear from you.
